器契qìqì stands for “materials” and “life force”, addressing the vast and intricate energy conveyed by materials.

Founded in 2021 by Haojun Zhou and Xu Hao in Shanghai, 器契qìqì seeks to capture an unbounded and natural way of life. Inspired by Chinese philosophies, 器契qìqì explores the characteristics of traditional Chinese and East Asian jewellery and materials like wood, organic gemstone and traditional East Asian minerals that have their unique beauty, and hope to express our reflection through the design of contemporary jewellery.
